A day in the life…
As the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager you will contribute to the success of Russell Stover by establishing, executing, and delivering EHS policies, programs, and processes for Russell Stover with the EHS team and operational stakeholders. Together, we will be developing, maintaining, and continually improving our systems, policies, programs, and processes to promote a culture of safety excellence and environmental performance.
This role will act as an EHS leader and resource to manufacturing, retail, and all aspects of the business. As EHS Manager, with a focus on company systems and processes, you must possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. You must have a deep understanding of EHS systems, training, performance criteria, risk assessment, analytics combined with an ability to deploy and operationalize those systems. You will be reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Environmental, Health, and Safety.
What you will be doing…
Leadership & Culture – Actively and effectively lead, coach, and develop managers and line leaders across all functions to be effective EHS leaders in their respective positions. EHS Expertise and Oversight – Lead and manage EHS processes and systems, driving continual improvement and proactive risk management. EHS Strategies, Programs, and Plans – Create, implement, and maintain written EHS policies, programs, procedures, and audit systems in partnership with safety team and cross-functional stakeholders. Enhance the site capabilities in critical hazard program management, including but not limited to control of hazardous energy, work at heights, confined space, hazardous locations/ atmospheres, mobile equipment, hazard Change Leadership – Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact. Compliance & Audit Readiness – Own end-to-end process for assurance audits, periodic review of EHS standard documents, and facilitates continuous compliance with company policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements. Training Capability Building, and Knowledge Transfer – Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs to build internal capabilities in partnership with EHS team and cross-functional stakeholders. Foster a culture of continual learning and improvement. Continuous Improvement and Lindt Performance Way – Build capability, establish best practices, and use standardized work processes to improve safety performance. Ensure alignment with global EHS initiatives and Lindt Performance Way (LPW) Safety Pillar methodologyDo you have what it takes?
(Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and/or Environmental, Business Management, Engineering, or related discipline 7+ years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of work experience and education Ability to travel domestically approximately 40% per year with possibility of limited international travel Strong organizational, planning, and management systems experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently present complex information Experience creating and implementing safety management systems, standards, in adherence to OSHA and consensus standards, i.e. NFPA 70E Excellent writing and editorial skills, with efficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word; Safety Management and Training (e.g., Sphera, HSI); and CMMS (e.g., SAP, CARL)Do you stand above the rest?
(Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in food or dairy manufacturing environment Professional safety certification (e.g., ASP/CSP, CSHO, OHST, etc).
