Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking an EHS Manager. This position will be located at our Rumford, RI facility. Relocation benefits will be provided within the United States only.
The EHS Manager is responsible for providing environmental, health, safety, and security leadership to the site. In this role, you will direct EHS activities at location; achieve EHS objectives and targets, internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of national, area, and local regulatory requirements, and; ensuring documents are available in the local languages. Additionally, you will be responsible for assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; managing interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse findings and enforcement actions; directing actions during crises; site security, creating a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:• Manage and direct site in achieving EHS targets & objects.
• Direct development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
• Facilitate risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Work with leadership team to create targets and objects based on key EHS risks.
• Determinate appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.
• Support creation of EHS goals for the site manager and appropriate activity based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance and results.
• Work to assign MESH element Champions and facilitate their engagement in owners of the MESH elements.
• Drive and promote zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
• Create and facilitate EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
• Work with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete and annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, State, and local regulations.
• Pursue third party recognition for programs that establish the Site and Eaton's EHS programs as world class.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental disciplines from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience with environmental, health and safety.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental disciplines from an accredited institution.
• Certified Safety Professional.
• Certified Industrial Hygienist.
• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager.
