Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager

Shift: 1st shift 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday (hours can be flexible)

Pay Rate: $100,000-$120,000/year

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to oversee and implement the company's safety and environmental programs. The EHS Manager will ensure regulatory compliance, reduce injury rates, and support multiple facilities. The role involves working with safety management tools, customer response on regulatory issues, and participating in continuous improvement activities.

ResponsibilitiesOversee daily plant safety and environmental programs.Reduce employee injury rates in number and severity.Maintain regulatory compliance with OSHA and other state and local authorities.Work with various safety management tools including audits, safety coaching, behavioral-based safety, and job hazard analysis.Respond to customer inquiries on regulatory issues.Implement daily details of the site Safety plan, including coordination of safety programs, training development and delivery, new employee orientation, area audits, incident reviews, and response and reporting for incidents.Maintain safety records, accident records and statistics, OSHA log, job-related medical evaluations, and JSAs.Implement daily details of the site environmental compliance program, including waste management, audits, training, and spill response.Participate as a safety representative in continuous improvement activities.Organize and maintain Job Safety Analysis forms for various positions.Identify and correct potential health and safety hazards.Support recycling and sustainability efforts.Oversee the SDS system including revision of existing SDSs and creation of new ones.Serve as first responder and coordinate first responder training and response.Essential SkillsStrong working knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations.3-5 years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical manufacturing preferred).Experience with environmental permitting and chemical management.Working knowledge of Federal/State Regulatory Requirements.Demonstrated good judgment and strong ethical standards.Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other related programs.Experience creating and implementing a safety program.Why Work Here?

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00
