The Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) - Health Services will be responsible for managing and overseeing the health services aspect of the EH&S department, with a particular focus on network nurse management, injury management, workers' compensation claims, drug screening, first responder coordination, ergonomics, wellness, and the development of stretching and strengthening programs. As well, serve as the liaison/manager for the 3rd party security team. The successful candidate will be an expert in these areas and will lead efforts to ensure the health and safety of all employees while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
What you will do…
Responsible for injury management and leading the nurses at the facility to address safety and injury issues:Provide leadership and oversight for the site nurses at the facility. Ensure consistent and high-quality healthcare services are delivered to all employees. Develop and implement best practices for occupational health and safety in collaboration within the site. Supervises day to day operation of the Medical Department.Lead injury management initiatives, focusing on the reduction of workplace injuries.Coordinate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure prompt and effective care for injured employees.Develop and maintain injury management protocols and procedures.Oversee the filing and management of workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.Work closely with insurance providers, legal teams, and HR to manage claims efficiently and minimize costs.Monitor claim trends and develop strategies to reduce future claims.Directs, develops and implements plant safety, health and wellness policies and proceduresReviews and communicates safety statistical data involving workplace injuries and near miss reports. The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$102,700-$147,700Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
