As the EHS Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming the company’s safety culture, guiding a shift toward a more proactive and consistent approach across sites. You’ll take the lead in rolling out new programs, developing innovative strategies, and writing detailed guidance that sets the standard for safety and environmental performance. Reporting directly to the Director of EHS, you will be instrumental in ensuring that programs are aligned with federal, state/provincial, and local regulations, while consistently driving continuous improvement in safety protocols. If you’re ready to shape the future of EHS and lead change across the organization, we want to hear from you! **What You’ll Be Doing** + Execute company policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. + Lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure a safe working environment for our colleagues. + Demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and data analysis. + Provide technical guidance concerning site EHS issues – site subject matter expert. + Establishment and maintenance of site EHS objectives and targets. + Represents EHS on site Leadership Team. + Development and execution of tactical and strategic plans to improve EHS performance. + Manage the EHS training program, including new hire, job-specific, contractor and required refresher training. + Manage the site EHS Committee. + Manage site EHS communications. + Manage site incident and injury reporting, investigation, and recordkeeping. + Assist in the management of worker’s compensation claims and the site KIK Return to Work program. + Manage the site EHS corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely follow-up and implementation. + Manage the site waste management program including sustainability initiatives. + Ensure the timely completion of all required safety, environmental and sustainability reporting to internal and external interested parties. + Maintain the site EHS recordkeeping program. + Manage site hazard assessments. + Manage site hazard communication program, including SDS management and required training. + Manage site Safety Management Systems. + Manage site process safety management or E2 program, where applicable. + Manage required environmental permits, reporting, monitoring and recordkeeping. + Manage the facility leadership & employee safety programs. + Manage the management of change process. + Manage the site security programs. + Manage site emergency response programs. + Support hazardous materials transportation compliance. **What You’ll Bring** + 4 year degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental required. Other non-science degrees with strong experience in EHS will be considered + 5+ years of environmental, health and safety compliance experience in a manufacturing environment. + Detailed knowledge and understanding of federal, state/provincial and local EHS regulations is required. + Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plans (RMP) is required. + Self-driver focusing on continuous improvement. + Experience in industrial wastewater treatment systems is a plus. + Experience in industrial/potable water systems is a plus. + Experience in the chemicals or chemical manufacturing industry is a plus. + Ability to collaborate, work beyond obstacles and build trust with impacted departments. + Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize workload based on impact and facility goals. + Ability to drive change by taking projects from proposal to implementation. + Ability to effectively supervise, coach and mentor others. + Availability: Hours are typically M-F day shift but on occasion there is need for off shift urgent issues or emergencies **What You Will Get** KIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
