EHS Manager (Field Based)

ERM is hiring an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to join our global consulting firm. This is an onsite position to support our client’s environmental compliance projects and natural resource permitting in Havre de Grace, MD. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) limited-term role with a duration of 6 months, extendable.

Responsibilities:

· Support with oversight of environmental compliance in a manufacturing or plan setting.

· Review and ensure air, water, and hazardous waste compliance with project permits and plans.

· Develop project plans and drive plans to achieve project goals.

· Understand and ensure the clients’ procedures, guidance documents, and work practices are being complied with.

· Review and file reports, inspections, forms, or training records generated for projects.

· Participate in or provides environmental training for project teams, including contractors.

· Assist with the development of environmental permitting for projects.

· Update Client tracking systems (incidents, violations, etc.).

· Perform project tasks within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.

· 5+ years of environmental inspection, monitoring, or permitting experience specific to manufacturing and chemical companies.

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or commensurate years of experience.

· An understanding of project management principles is highly preferred.

· Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.

· Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills.

· Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Desired qualifications:

· Experience working with or knowledge of federal and state agencies.
