Our team runs a worldwide portfolio of over 3 million square feet, 135 sites and over 12,000 employees. In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and safety. As the EHS Program Engineer, you will develop into a business partner to help support the business groups’ EHS goals and the path to achieve it, while ensuring corporate EHS goals and legal requirements are being met. You will be responsible for supporting the local EHS functions and other departments with a primary focus on engineering cleanrooms and laboratories. We are looking to bring in motivated and top technical talent to join us on this path!
The person in this role will:
Provide day to day EHS support for our engineering cleanrooms and laboratories and special projects
Coordinate EHS Management of Change Program and provide consultation on new program launches, construction projects and non-routine maintenance
Participates in plan development and implementation, proposal review, hazard identification and risk management with business teams
Conduct Job Hazard Analysis/Risk Assessments and develop hazard control strategies to reduce risk of injury and potential environmental harm
Provide EHS guidance for high hazard operations including laser devices, magnetics, EMF, XRF, UV, and electrical safety
Develop and implement EHS programs, and training
Partner with managers, supervisors, and team leaders in incident investigations, corrective action deployment, and effectiveness evaluations
Participate in campus and project safety committees
Responsible for compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, US EPA, US OSHA, DOT, state environmental and safety regulators, and industry group standards
Support the site level requirements for our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs
Participate on the site Emergency Response programs including first-aid, CPR, spills, fire/evacuation, and other critical programs
Conduct periodic audits related to the EHS management systems, compliance, and company policy/procedure conformance
Be the EHS expert for the teams you support with excellent customer service
Audit your areas for conformance to company and regulatory EHS programs
Obtain and maintain appropriate EHS credentials required to be successful in this position. This includes but not limited to LSO, RSO training, ISO internal auditor training, hazardous materials & hazardous waste management, and DOT
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least seven (7) years of EHS experience in semiconductor manufacturing, technology, or related industry
Must have three (3) years of relevant experience in a large facility or multiple locations
Experience in California environmental and safety regulations is a must
Ability to work in a multi-functional environment, respecting and engaging others to resolve problems and improve processes
Experience working in a diverse, fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate EHS requirements and risk control concepts to a diverse audience in a succinct and easy to comprehend manner
Excellent project management skills and ability to work to commitments
Laser Safety Officer (LSO) qualification
Experience with EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) preferred
Professional EHS certifications like CSP or CIH are preferred
Must be proficient in MS Office programs
