TalentWorld is hiring an EHS Representative for a client in Mississauga, ON. This temporary role, with the potential to become permanent, requires someone who is hardworking, has a growth mindset, and enjoys the health and safety field. The position involves providing coaching and training on EHS practices, conducting site inspections, supporting emergency response, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
EHS Representative Job Responsibilities: Provide coaching and support to site leadership employees to raise awareness of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices. Implement and manage company environmental/safety programs and policies. Conduct site inspections, investigate safety concerns, and complete EHS audits across all sites. Perform incident investigations, lead root cause assessments, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain EHS records, track performance statistics, and ensure compliance with OHSA and other relevant regulations. Provide internal safety training, conduct safety talks, and perform EHS orientation for new employees. EHS Representative Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in a chemical production or manufacturing environment. Post-secondary education in an EHS-related field or equivalent work experience. Current enrolment in a health & safety certificate program. Knowledge of current safety legislation and WHMIS 2015/GHS. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Employment Details: Salary: $25.00 an hour Benefits: 40 Hours Weekly Duration: 6 months of contract with a possibility of conversion Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm EST OR 9:00am to 5:00pm Location: Mississauga, ON Interested in the role of EHS Representative in Mississauga, ON?
