EHS Safety Manager R&D Agricultural Sciences
Overview This role is positioned in the Global Foods R&D Agriculture organization as part of the Environmental, Health and Safety team supporting R&D's global agro sites and hubs, including the Rhinelander and St. Paul sites, as well as locations in Thailand, UK, Brazil, and others. Responsibilities The R&D Argo EHS Manager is responsible for setting and executing the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) strategies, ensuring compliance, promoting an EHS culture, and leading and supporting EHS development and improvement across R&D's global agro sites and hubs. This role oversees the maintenance of current EHS standards/programs and leads the implementation of PepsiCo Global EHS Management System and Standards across these sites. To advance the Global R&D Agro EHS agenda, the EHS Manager also develops and executes plans to foster an EHS culture that aligns with PepsiCo's business culture, aiming to promote this EHS culture model throughout the R&D agricultural community. Setting the Environmental, Health & Safety strategy and plan for PepsiCo R&D Agro, aligned with global R&D EHS strategies and standards. This involves maintaining current EH&S standards and implementing PepsiCo Global EHS Management System and Standards across Agro sites while meeting regional targets for risk management and accident reduction Serving as the subject matter expert (SME) on safety and environmental related matters, coaching on relevant legislation, and internal EHS systems. This role also involves leading risk assessments and the execution of risk management process Leading the EHS team, with a focus on staff and site EHS competence development Fostering an EHS culture in alignment with PepsiCo's business culture and promoting this culture across the R&D Agro community Leading the development and implementation of EHS annual operating plans and budgets Ensuring EHS compliance with regulatory agency needs and serving as the key contact person for audits, both internal and external. This role also involves conducting safety and environmental audits and inspections Representing Global R&D Agro in all EHS matters, both internally and externally Developing effective communication channels and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) and EHS incidents to site and sector leadership and stakeholders Providing daily support and coaching to managers and standard owners in the resolution of EHS issues Owning the process of auditing, accident investigations and risk assessments, providing feedback to drive continuous improvement Developing and delivering EHS training to associates on safety systems and requirements, including safe working practices Establishing and maintaining networks with contacts within the R&D EHS organization and PepsiCo Global EHS teams, supporting global programs and facilitating best practices sharing across the PepsiCo R&D Global community EHS responsibility for all R&D Global Agro EHS including Rhinelander, St Paul, Thailand, Brazil, UK Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $102,800 - $172,100 Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
