EHS Site Leader
Introduction to the job

At the ASML campus in Veldhoven around 20000 people work and meet everyday to develop and build high-tech lithography systems for shipment around the world. To ensure safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors with minimum impact on the environment, the EHS management system must be improved continuously. Are you the experienced EHS manager to take on this challenge?


Role and responsibilities

You are responsible for: 

EHS Strategy

Drive EHS Strategy in line with relevant business priorities and EHS target setting at NL Site level; Indicates and analyses innovation and optimization opportunities. Advises key decision makers and delivers a significant and expert contribution to strategy formation for the EHS domain. Develops operating plans to meet established annual objectives.

Organizational development

Secures operational excellence, continuous improvement as well as an effective, (cost) efficient and reliable enabling domain in alignment with the key principles of the organization.

Defines critical success factors and changing needs. Develops, designs and maintains a roadmap substantiated with business cases, long-term business-plans and budgets focused on the creation of a solution focused enabling domain.

Stakeholder Management

Maintain business relations with relevant EHS Leaders and Sector Heads at NL site. Interacts with the Works Council to drive employee involvement on EHS.

EHS governance

Run EHS Program Board at NL Site level to define and drive improvement programs. Facilitate the NL EHS Committee, chaired by NL Site Leader ('Bestuurder'). Represent NL sector in Corporate EHS Committee.

Manage EHS Risks

Ensure regular Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment at NL site level;

Ensure implementation of relevant risk control measures to secure EHS operations for the assigned scope and measure effectiveness.

EHS Incidents

Manage on time and high quality follow up of reported EHS incidents for assigned scope;

Perform trend analysis on EHS incidents to identify opportunities for prevention at NL site level.

EHS Legal compliance

Ensure on time closure of Legal non-compliance for the NL site.

EHS audits

Plan and execute internal and external audits with Corporate EHS;

ensure on time and effective closure of non-conformities at sector level.
 

Education and experience

MSc technical degree combined with professional education (HVK or MoSHE) in the EHS domain

At least 10 years work experience in an EHS leadership role, managing EHS risks at an industrial site in the Netherlands.

In depth knowledge of Dutch Arbo law.

Other information

The EHS Site Leader NL will report to the Head of Corporate EHS with functional reporting line to the NL Bestuurder. This role will have no direct reports.
