This role is on-site daily in Apex, NC and may require working outside of traditional work hours

What this job involves: The EHS Specialist directs the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the JLL EHS on-site at the Client facility. In this capacity, the EHS Specialist is accountable to provide guidance, identify the resources and equipment necessary to implement EHS management systems and compliance programs related to JLL scope of work at the Client locations. The EHS Specialist will advise the JLL management team on EHS issues, assist with the evaluation of potential hazardous situations and environmental impacts, participate in accident investigations, and ensure JLL is compliant with all EHS regulatory and Client requirements.

What is the day-to-day:

Develop and implement comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs in alignment with local regulations and JLL's commitment to sustainability and employee well-beingOversee all activities related to shipping/receiving, storing, delivering, transferring, reconciling, and cycle counting materials per cGMP procedures and regulations inside manufacturing facilityConduct risk assessments and audits, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risksDrive innovative ways of working to enhance EHS performance, ensuring compliance, and continuously improving processesProvide training and guidance to employees regarding EHS policies, procedures, and best practices, advancing their careers and promoting a safe work environmentResponsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations related to PIV/MHE, and repetitive activities.

Desired experience and technical skills -

Required

3+ years of relevant experience in the field of EHSStrong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations related to PIVs and ergonomics.Experience in assessing and mitigating ergonomic risks in a variety of work environments.Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to effectively deliver presentations and trainings to employees at all levels.Proven problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate incidents, accidents and suggest effective solutions.Proficiency in using EHS software and tools for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related fieldProfessional certifications such as Certified Ergonomics Specialist (CES) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)Certified PIV Trainer or ability to obtain certificate within first 3 months of employmentFamiliarity with sustainability practices and certifications (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001)
