This position is responsible for providing operations and leadership support to the Environtmental Health & Safety Supervisor.

Responsibilities Promotes and takes an active interest in generating safety awareness Assists EHS Supervisor in planning and organizing safety initiatives & activities by understanding priorities and takes a proactive approach to execute on safety deliverables & activities Effectively communicates with associates & leadership team both orally and in writing Partners with Leadership Team to assist associates in sustaining a strong safety culture Updates safety-related reporting & communication boards Provides facilitation & support for safety training needs for assigned campus Assists in facilitating safety committee meetings Possesses common knowledge of all DC systems and equipment, ensuring Associates follow procedures and provides performance feedback to Supervisor

Qualifications

Exceptional attendance and performance record and ability to maintain those standards Knowledge of PC’s and software and the ability to quickly learn new systems Experience using Microsoft Office applications Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and interact in a constructive manner with all levels of associates and leaders Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and assist in all areas, with passion around safety culture & associate engagement Knowledge of EHS management systems Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations Education High School diploma is required Associate degree or higher is preferred but not required
