Job Title: EHS Specialist

Job Description - 100% remote within Colorado

We are seeking a dedicated EHS Specialist to develop, administer, and implement environmental programs in accordance with governmental requirements. The role involves ensuring a safe and compliant workplace by managing various environmental health and safety (EHS) programs and collaborating with regulatory agencies.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop, administer, and implement environmental programs such as Ergonomics, Incident Investigation and Reporting, Worker’s Compensation, Control of Hazardous Energy, Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding, Hot Work, Job Safety Analysis, Compressed Gases, Industrial Hygiene, Hazardous Waste, and Management of Change.Review and analyze documentation issued by regulatory agencies.Collaborate with regulatory agencies to determine corrective action plans.Conduct studies and prepare environmental impact reports for new construction projects, plant processes, and permit changes.Evaluate proposed regulations to determine financial and industrial impact.Resolve compliance issues and assist in regulatory audits.Identify and take corrective action against activities that pose potential threats to workers’ health or safety.Recommend organizational measures to protect workers’ safety through revised methods, processes, or materials.Inspect workplace environments, equipment, and/or practices to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.Investigate and identify causes regarding filed incidents.Provide and promote employee awareness and training on environmental health and safety matters.Conduct EHS reviews for new product development, facility modifications, product modifications, and new equipment/machinery installations.Facilitate EHS reviews for product transfer to/from other facilities.Develop and drive programs and policies to improve safety culture and risk reduction.Lead the Emergency Response Team.Partner with Facilities and EHS team on environmental sustainability initiatives and applicable data management.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree requiredMinimum of 3 years of relevant experienceExperience with EHS management systems and risk assessmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsProfessional certification or certification eligible (CSP, CIH, CHMM)Risk assessmentsPersonal protective equipment assessments, providing PPE and trainingDevelop EHS written programsDevelop and deploy EHS training programsEvaluate waste, establish profiles, train site employees on waste management and disposalReview ergonomic conditionsWork Environment

The EHS Specialist will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with various teams and regulatory bodies. The position requires periodic inspections of workplace environments, involvement in new product and facility development, and leading emergency response efforts. The role emphasizes promoting a culture of safety and environmental sustainability.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00
