Overview Be a champion for PepsiCo R&D safety procedures and compliance by aiding in the process of determining the health, safety and environmental impacts of Valhalla’s chemical inventory use and storage. Responsibilities Principal Accountabilities Administrator for all EHS compliance systems and applications for the Valhalla site. Safety Programs: Maintain EH&S systems data associated with regulatory compliance, incidents and audits, including action plans and compliance tracking. Maintain compliance register for federal and state regulations pertaining to the Valhalla site operations. Annual review and update with EHS & Facilities Leadership Team input. Maintain and update site register as needed based on regulatory updates. Annual review with EHS Team and impacted Global EH&S Management System (GEHSMS) Standard Owners Assist EH&S and GEHSMS teams tasked with Chemical Storage and Management compliance. EH&S Risk Assessment and Job hazard analysis project management support. Industrial Hygiene Program – support the completion of the QHHA CAPAs Additional GEHSMS Standards Ownership and Support Stormwater and Radiation Safety Allocated Storage Space Storage Committee leadership and oversight of monthly meetings to address issues Monthly inspections of all Allocated Storage Areas. Track all findings to completion in Dial 0. Share meeting minutes with Manager & review All storage rooms should meet guidelines at 95% Waste Management Program Gain working knowledge of hazardous waste manifest shipping procedures Lead hazardous waste shipment from identification of eligible waste containers through to shipment load and manifest completion Discharge of Wastewater Program: Gain understanding of the wastewater system and process working cooperatively with the Facilities Engineers Hold mock regulatory inspections of the system with the Operations team. Create corrective and preventive action plans based on audit findings and input into myEHS Chemical Ordering & Procurement Process: Assist the EH&S and CISPro teams in the collection of safety data sheets from FSSDM and maintain the database safety data sheet compliance goals. Recordkeeping and regular reporting of chemical purchasing trends, projected needs, and related data (i.e., chemical selection, purchasing, ownership and flammable-corrosive flavor volume data) Collate chemical order data from all Analytical, Measurement Science, Flavor and PD teams. Initiation of hazardous chemical assessment process for handling & exposure risk(s) Initial Risk Assessment review based on safety data sheet information. Quarterly and annual review of the procurement process, trends, and procedures Working knowledge of the Westchester R&D chemical inventory software program (CISPro), including: Chemical receiving and stock management site workflow. Segregation of hazardous materials on the loading dock/receiving area Utilization and data input into chemical inventory tracking and reporting software, utilizing handheld scanners as needed. Chemical container labeling and subsequent delivery practices Recurrent review and reconciliation of laboratory and storage chemical inventories Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $70,700 - $118,400. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
