The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters). **Additional Info** + This position is located in Sumter, SC and does not offer relocation + 10% or less travel is expected with this role **What You Will Do** + Supports division facilities in managing hazards associated with high energy and SIF/pSIF potential + Supports enterprise safety driven strategy initiatives including: Human & Organizational Performance HOP, Culture improvement projects & leader/employee development + Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards + Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives + Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions. + Conduct environmental impact assessments for new projects + Leads projects related to regulatory compliance or improving facility process/procedures + Develops comprehensive programs to be utilized at the facility + Provides leadership, mentoring and direction to hourly, salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety (EHS) activities related to a small facility or one discipline at a medium to large facility **What You Have** + **Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance** : Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards. + **Sustainability** : Knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model. **Problem Solving** : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations. + **Risk Management** : Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations. **What Will Set You Apart** + Bachelor's degree + Experience obtaining permits and reporting environmental issues to state agencies + Experience with OSHA requirements and reporting **What You Will Get** Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
