Roles and Responsibilities

Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.Resolves issues using established procedures, improve or implement procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.Collaborates with others to solve issues. For stakeholders facing roles, develops strong stakeholder relationships. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.Review and revise EHS documents.Reporting and investigation of incidents and support stakeholders to implement corrective/preventive actions.Represent EHS department to ensure legal compliance within the area of responsibility, support and advice stakeholders.Represent EHS in projects.Drive continuous improvement within EHS.

Required Qualifications

This role requires basic experience in the Environmental Health & Safety & Resource & Environmental Strategies. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience). Technical education BSc/MSc Engineering, degree in health and safety or related field, desired machine safety, electrical safety and/or chemical process, production manufacture experience.Experience within risk management, project execution, audit and compliance.Good IT skill, especially Microsoft office applications and ability to understand new systems.Experience with EHS policies and processes.

Desired Characteristics

Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Norwegian. Ability to document, plan organized, and execute/deliver EHS projects/programs.Attention to critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead and teach a team, run trainings and presentations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
