Position Overview:
We are seeking an EHS Specialist to support our client"s operations in Graniteville, South Carolina. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment. While experience in industrial hygiene and Legionella management is preferred, candidates with a strong workplace health and safety (WHS) background are encouraged to apply.
Preference will be given to local candidates. However, for exceptional non-local candidates, travel and lodging accommodations will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
* Conduct site risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
* Support Legionella and water safety management efforts, including risk assessments and compliance planning, as needed.
* Provide training and coaching to employees on EHS best practices and regulatory requirements.
* Investigate incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Collaborate with internal teams to maintain compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
* Maintain documentation and reporting related to EHS initiatives and compliance activities.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in environmental health, occupational safety, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 2-5 years of experience in workplace health and safety (WHS), environmental health, or a related discipline.
* Familiarity with OSHA standards, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance practices.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to train and engage employees on EHS topics.
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience or certification in industrial hygiene or Legionella management (e.g., ASSE Legionella Management Certification).
* Familiarity with water systems, Legionella control, and risk assessments.
* Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar standards.
* Proficiency with EHS management systems and reporting tools.
