The intern will participate in partnership with EHS leaders on coaching, teaching, and training field personnel on safe operating behaviors and the design, development, and implementation of safety and risk control programs.
The 10 week program runs from mid-May to early-August at AWP Safety’s corporate headquarters in North Canton, Ohio, immersing interns in a dynamic work culture. Key activities include:
Skills Workshops: Including StrengthsFinder assessments, resume writing, and mock interviews to prepare for full-time roles.Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work on projects like "Gen Z in the Workplace" with interns across departments to broaden perspectives and foster collaboration.Leadership Development Series: Sessions on conflict management, personal branding, and career tips enhance professional and personal growth.QualificationsOpen to rising juniors and seniors currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program or students currently enrolled in a master’s degree program.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service orientation.Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks.Interest in gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, safety-focused industry.A commitment to personal and professional growth, with a willingness to engage in learning and development activities.Additional InformationThis position is full time, temporary, non-benefits eligible at $20/hour.
