Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a EHS Supervisor.

What you’ll do:

The primary function of this position is to develop and manage the plant’s Safety programs (EHS); and to ensure compliance with the programs by appropriate plant personnel. Support the plant’s Environmental and Legal programs (EHS) as well as Facilities new projects (EHS) within key projects compliance than involves Capital Expenditure, Cost Outs and Cost Avoidance; Active participation and leadership to sustain compliance on STPS, SEMARNAT, COFEPRIS, etc requirements and active participation on ISO14001/45001 & 50001 international systems.

Essential Functions:

Participate in the planning and purchasing decisions regarding the potential EHS impact of new equipment, processes, PPE and construction or renovation.

Coordinate with manufacturing ergonomics issues.

Qualifications

Implements, promotes, and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control, and administer risk and danger in own area. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results

Qualifications: University degree required, with qualification in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent. English – language capability, speaking, reading & writing required.4 years’ experience with an emphasis in environmental, health and safety program management and employee training.  Experience with security operations is a plus. Comprehension of Eaton, industry, state, and country environmental, health, and safety requirements. High level of interpersonal skill to work effectively with others.Strong leadership skills, must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement, including ability to manage large number of different projects and to track projects through completion. Through knowledge of industrial chemistry and waste control/elimination technology and practicesAdapt at development and utilization of software solutions.Understanding of manufacturing technologies and processesAbility to lead and support cross-functional process improvement team.Fire Protection /Prevention Installation Knowledge.Ergonomic Response (fine, evacuation, first aid)
