EHS Technician (1st shift)

Summary: Seeking an Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Technician for 1st shift with 2+ years of environmental, health, and safety experience.

Job Requirements:

HS Diploma or GED (Required)

U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status

2+ years of environmental, health, and safety experience

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations

Preferred Skills:

2- or 4-year degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent

OSHA 10- and 30-hour certifications

Basic knowledge of manufacturing safety

Bi-lingual in Spanish

Job Responsibilities:

Promote workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Participate in Lean manufacturing activities, meetings, and safety walks.

Conduct hazard assessments and recommend appropriate PPE.

Observe employee use of prescribed PPE and equipment.

Update job safety analysis (JSAs) and project-specific safety plans.

Coordinate training activities and organize training content.

Maintain EHS training learning management system database.

Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) internal database.

Coordinate proper hazardous waste management with vendors.

Monitor first-aid supplies and coordinate with vendors on stock.

Coordinate subsidized PPE compliance with department managers.

Update Benchmark Gensuite to track key environmental data.

Participate in incident investigations to establish root causes and implement corrective actions.

Support a behavior-based safety program to reduce incidents.



Pay Details: $22.00 to $27.00 per hour
