What You Will Do:
This role will coordinate and lead EH&S activities and is responsible for site environmental, health and safety programs and tasks in the areas of facilities waste management, hazard identification and control, EH&S training, policy interpretation and communication and metric tracking.
Coordination and communication of environmental, health and safety related policies, procedures, and activities in partnership with EH&S team and manager. Identify, monitor, control, communicate and document potential hazards.Monitor, document and report EH&S metrics to determine the effectiveness of daily operations.Conduct EH&S training including Powered Industrial Vehicle On-The-Job (OJT) training.Conduct regular, scheduled internal EH&S audits for the site.Prepare reports and recommend corrective actions for incidents, inspections, and/or environmental monitoring results.Prepare, maintain and update environmental, health and/or safety policy and procedural manuals under the direction of site EH&S Manager. Emergency Response team member assisting in emergency events with internal and external business partners. Coordinate EH&S tasks and activities to assure compliance with EH&S regulations; to minimize the company’s impact on the environment, and to protect employees regarding industrial accidents/incidents and occupational and environmental health hazards.Assist management with Point of Generation (POG) program including industrial waste handling, wastewater management and storage and shipments.Assist management with recycling program including carbides, plastics and pallets. Complete paperwork, post EH&S signage, label and organize EH&S systems/programs. 1st shift Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm. Occasional Saturdays as needed.Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experienceMust be a United States Citizen due to government contracts.Qualifications We Prefer:
3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience in handling industrial waste and complianceBasic computer aptitude with the ability to navigate Microsoft Office programsStrong knowledge of EH&S and Facilities compliance programsSolid knowledge of EH&S standards - RTX EHS Management System ISO 14001 OSHA VPP Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsDOT\RCRA training completion or ability to gain training.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
