EHS Technician 3rd Shift

Job Purpose

The EHS Technician will assist the Safety Specialist and EHS Manager in ensuring that the facility operates under safe, healthy, and regulatory-compliant conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assess workstations to identify potential hazards and develop comprehensive Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to ensure safe work practices and compliance with safety regulations. Participate in incident investigations, including 5-why analysis, identification of root causes, and develop/execute corrective actions for safety-related injuries, near misses, etc. Conduct respirator fit tests and assist with the maintenance of respiratory protection equipment. Schedule & conduct safety training sessions for employees. Data entry into excel databases containing training records, air monitoring results, noise dosimetry results, PIT certification records and other compliance-related records. Schedule and conduct airborne lead monitoring. Complete dosimetry (sound level) assessments. Collaborate with the team leaders and employees to address and discuss safety and health concerns, fostering a proactive safety culture. Assist in ordering, stocking, and maintaining PPE and other safety-related supplies. Assist contractors with setup for audiometric tests. Coordinating and Providing First Responder and First Aid Duties. Developing, Maintaining and Revising Safety and Health Operating Procedures and Lockout/Tagout Procedures. Assist with scheduling and conducting hygiene wipe tests and evaluating cleaning methods. Assist in updating Safety Data Sheets (SDS) binders and chemical labels. Some overnight travel is required for training and certification purposes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Minimum

2-years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

Industrial hygiene experience Post secondary education in a related field Specialty certifications such as Lead Risk Assessor, 40-hour HazWoper, CPR/First Aid, Associate Safety Professional, etc. Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excell, PowerPoint).   Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards Data entry skills for managing excel databases General Job Requirements This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment. Therefore, expect varying working conditions.
