Job Summary:
Assist with ensuring the facility complies with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Work closely with production associates, engineering, quality, and management team at all levels to facilitate, lead, and/or assist teams in achieving departmental and plant goals. Support the implementation of improvement activities related to environmental, health, safety, and sustainability. Support maintenance of EHS plant policies and procedures to ensure they remain accurate, suitable, and effective. This is a safety sensitive role.
Responsibilities:
· Perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company EHS procedures including stormwater, fire extinguisher inspections, emergency eyewash/safety shower inspections, flammable cabinets, emergency lights and tests, and proper storage and/or disposal of waste.
· Facilitate risk assessments of machine guarding, LOTO, forklift operations, and other areas of high-risk exposure.
· Perform department-specific safety audits to ensure employees are utilizing safe work practices such as utilizing proper PPE, minimizing trip hazards, wearing fall protection, etc.
· Assist in the development of EHS training programs and conduct training as needed.
· Assist in the implementation and compliance of site-specific safety policies.
· Assist in the creation of job hazard analysis and PPE assessments.
· Support in accident, incident, and near-miss investigations offering advice and best practice solutions where appropriate. Ensure all incident reports are prepared correctly and factually relevant, accurate, and admissible as a legal document.
· Assist in office tasks such as filing, printing, getting quotes, working with vendors, and record keeping.
· Assist in Gensuite database with data entry and closure of tasks.

Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) is required.
· Associate degree in Engineering, Life Safety, Environmental Studies, Occupational Health and Safety or related field preferred.
· Additional degrees and/or related coursework or experience will be considered.
· Must be willing to pursue technician level certification, certificate, or degree program in related field.
· Previous experience within Environmental, Health, and Safety in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
· Must successfully complete specialized training such as: First Aid/CPR/AED; RCRA / DOT; OSHA 30-hr.; Fall Protection; within the first 12 months of hire.

· Ability to train others, conducting training to all size groups.
· Must be capable and willing to work any shift and overtime as required.
· Must be able to obtain approval to drive company vehicle.
· Strong capability with computer applications including Microsoft Office.
· Be capable of operating forklift or other industrial equipment.
Physical Demands:
· Lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 10 pounds continuously, 25 pounds repetitively and 40 pounds occasionally from floor to waist high for more than 2/3 of the work shift
· Lift/carry up to 40 Lbs occasionally, 20 Lbs repetitively, or 10 Lbs continuously from waist to shoulder height for more than 2/3 of the work shift
· Push and pull up to 40 Lbs force repetitively for more than 2/3 of the work shift.
· Reach over the head occasionally during the work shift
· Push and pull up to 20 Lbs force overhead occasionally during the work shift.
· Grip and pinch with hands and fingers repetitively, using fine motor dexterity and eye hand coordination, for more than 2/3 of the work shift
· Stand continuously for up to three hours at a time
· Bend, twist, squat, kneel, and/or stoop repetitively for more than 2/3 of work shift
· Walk, stand, and climb occasionally for more than 2/3 of the work shift
· Use senses (see, hear, smell, touch) to detect unsafe conditions.
