EHS Technician
What We Need: The EHS Technician operates under direct supervision of the EHS Engineer and provides clerical, administrative and technical support to EHS activities in an ISO14001-certified facility that participates in the WI DNR Green Tier program. They are responsible for gathering and inputting data, maintaining accurate records for regulatory reporting and compiling site metrics in support of the management team. The EHS Technician needs to work effectively with site management and all employees when coordinating events, auditing or participating in projects. They maintain safety equipment inventory, perform periodic safety inspections, monitor hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes. What You'll Be Doing: + Supports management of site-specific EHS policies, programs and practices + Maintain EHS records in an orderly fashion and strives to maintain electronic records when feasible. + Inputs EHS regulatory data into data management systems. + Maintains EHS label database through use of industry-leading Brady technology. + Performs management system audits and required inspections + Maintains scheduling of EHS activities and events + Organizes hazardous waste shipments + Provides clerical updates to EHS operating procedures and programs + Coordinates vendor supplies and services + Serves as technical resource for basic EHS compliance questions. What You Will Need To Be Successful: + Associates Degree in environmental or safety or equivalent experience + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail + Ability to work independently with initiative, applying a high level of discretion, sound judgment, and confidentiality + Computer competence in an MS Windows and Google environment. + Ability to work with data entry, word processing, presentation, and Internet access software.
