Job Title eICU Nurse/UKHC Requisition Number NR13393 Working Title eICU RN/UKHC Department Name H7300: CARDIOVASCULAR Work Location Lexington, KY Grade Level 10 Salary Range $23.25-39.10/hour Type of Position Staff Position Time Status Full-Time Required Education ADN Required Related Experience 7 yrs Required License/Registration/Certification Registered Nurse (RN), NIHSS Certification (required before starting) and CCRN certification or eCCRN (within 12 months of hiring) Physical Requirements The essential functions for this position include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis and 25-50 pounds frequently; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments. Shift Must be able to work 6PM-630AM , 36 HOURS / WEEK. Will be required
to work some weekends and holidays as needed for unit coverage. Job Summary The eICU nurse (Registered Nurse – RN) is a member of a collaborative care team who is responsible for providing continuous vigilance and tele-nursing care focusing on early intervention to a diverse population of critically ill adults across multiple ICUs at various hospitals with the goal to decrease ICU-related morbidity and mortality. The following features govern the role of the eICU RN: Patient Advocacy, Proactive, continuous monitoring, Prevention, Evidence-based care, Telecommunication, Clinical decision support, Humane, compassionate ethical care Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Current Kentucky RN state licensure. Three or more years of recent experience as an ICU nurse in the specialty field of adult critical care. Two or more years of experience in a clinical role, which required effectively communicating and collaborating with health care professionals (Charge role, DCN, CNE, Team Lead). Current BLS-Provider course completion. Current ACLS-Provider course completion. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
