EKG Supervisor

Your job is more than a job.

general supervision, organizes and directs the work of the department and programs. Oversees technicians' performance and is responsible for the training of all new personnel in the department according to the established policies. Coordinates the staff to assure that department services are provided, and quality standards are met.

GENERAL DUTIES

Customer Service:

Addresses customers concerns and complaints and utilizes the service recovery process to address the same.

Performance Improvement:

Actively promotes the organization's performance improvement initiatives. Participates in the continuing quality improvement program within the department.Demonstrates and actively promotes compliance with all state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies. (i.e., patient safety, infection control, HIPAA, etc.)Adheres to the medical center’s policies and procedures, as well as the code of conduct and all laws and regulations.

Responsible for performing all EKG duties:

Responsible for performing all EKG duties such as electrocardiogram procedures, rhythm strips etc.Responds to emergency situations after giving each event priority.Edits EKG reports post physician's interpretation. Performs all clerical duties necessary to maintain accurate EKG reports.

Supervises all functions of EKG Department and personnel:

Maintains work quality and quality assurance standards.Oversees schedules, time and attendance information, evaluation of personnel and maintenance of work quality.Responsible for completing all Human Resources and maintaining records on EKG personnel.Maintains the proper inventory of supplies to keep department operational for a brief period.

Ensures Patient Safety and Confidentiality within the department:

Assures patient awareness regarding the procedure and answers patients queries on the same.Ensures all patient medical information is secured, entered, and documented.Oversees the processing of all paperwork and status of procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent AND 2 years of directly related work experience.
