Performs all duties related to record transcription and record delivery to proper areas. **What You Will Do:** + Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values. + Knows and adheres to all laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety and medical information. + Performs EKG’s in a timely and efficient manner. + Demonstrates age specific competencies. + Uses a magnet for pacemaker detection. + Obtains necessary data and orders for patient testing. + Maintains skills to recognize abnormalities in EKG tracings and reports critical abnormalities to physician. + Applies holter monitor using proper skin preparation technique. Transcribes all interpretation of EKG’s and holters. + Cleans all equipment utilizing proper infection control and safety measures routinely. + Responsible for record delivery to proper areas. + Seeks input from cardiologists to enhance technical skills. + Works closely with other departments to provide efficient service to all patients. + Maintains supply inventories according to volume needs. + Notifies appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and needed repairs. + Enters appropriate charges for tests through computer system. + Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed. **What We Are Looking For:** **Education:** High School Graduate. **Licensure:** CPR certified. **Experience:** One year’s experience in allied health profession preferred. Computer experience preferred. **Other Job Requirements:** May be required to vary hours, day’s work on holidays and flex or add hours depending upon the needs of the department. Typing skills.
