Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The EKG/Telemetry Tech functions as a member of the Patient Care Team. The EKG/Telemetry Tech is responsible for testing, observing, monitoring, and interpreting patients EKG rhythms in conjunction with the established departmental policies and procedures. Duties may vary slightly by assigned shift. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Completion of Cardiac Rhythm Course within one year to recognize abnormal heart rhythms and artifacts in test data Other Licenses/Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association Healthcare Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
