What You Will Do:

As the training team’s eLearning Specialist, you will use your strong tech skills and an eye for detail and design while writing video scripts, creating multimedia content, and designing visuals for training materials. You have experience developing for adult learners and use eLearning authoring and video development tools to support their knowledge acquisition and job performance.

Foster collaborative and productive ways of work to engage with other members of the training team to ensure deadlines are met, training is accurate, and of high quality.  

Provide experience in developing engaging, focused, and impactful digital content working closely with leadership and all stakeholders. You have an eye for envisioning and building effective digital learning experiences in a manner that balances quality and quantity.

As an expert in LMS usage and connection to the training assets you propose and produce with SCORM and accessibility compliance knowledge. In this role you will work beyond a transactional order-taking level within an established structure and refine our ways of work while bringing ideas and energy to the group. You understand that as the team’s primary eLearning Specialist, you will spend a great amount of your time in the tools creating the assets.

Apply proven eLearning best practices for learner engagement and knowledge transfer to include (but not limited to): simulations, practical exercises, and scenario-based knowledge checks, as applicable during the storyboarding process

Help define learning objectives and key learning points, and ensure they are addressed in the learning solution

Conduct your own research to further understand learner, business, tools and other requirements for the learning program and individual assets

Design and develop learning assets that are succinct, easy to follow, and formatted for self-learning of complex and technical content in plain English.

Manage strict deadlines while ensuring a high-end user experience.


What You Will Need:

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a FULL SCOPE (FS/FSP) polygraph

Bachelor's Degree; FOUR (4) years of relevant experience in training, adult education, and/or multimedia training materials development may be used in lieu of degree

TEN (10) or more years relevant experience working in a training environment​ developing high-quality courses using a combination of web-based training, distance-learning, and instructor-led training.

Familiarity with eLearning software such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia, PowerPoint, SnagIt and the Microsoft suite of office software.

Experience with a Learning Management System.

Knowledge of 508 accessibility and compliance


What Would Be Nice To Have:

eLearning portfolio

Knowledge of CSS and HTML to make basic changes in Articulate Rise or other authoring tools

Knowledge of or experience working in the Intelligence Community and/or Department of Defense.

Experience with ERP/HRIS systems

Strong communication, presentation, and public speaking skills

Firm understanding of the ADDIE system of design and evaluation

Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities in a cross-cultural, diverse environment

Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively and collegially with diverse and dispersed stakeholders, customers, and other training teams.

Ability to solve technical problems independently or in teams.

Enjoys a varied pace of working and copes well under pressure.

Experience running demos of systems and training others.

Experience creating simulations and demonstrations of concepts and software systems.

Utilize knowledge of LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful, and dynamic end-user experience.

Evaluate and provide recommendations on using new instructional technologies, innovative instructional practices, and delivery methods.

Be knowledgeable in the areas of course design, virtual learning environments, course management, and evaluation systems

The annual salary range for this position is $75,800.00-$113,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
