Ameresco currently has a new opportunity for an Electrician based in the greater San Antonio, TX area for a journeyman electrician to join our federal O&M team in support of operating and maintaining a multimillion-dollar energy efficiency project.

Responsibilities:

Recognize safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public. Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints and control system drawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks Complete written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibration sheets, timecards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed. Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove, and maintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters, transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipmentBreakdown and repair of instrument and electrical equipment. Use test equipment associated with I&E work such as multi meters, loop simulators, multifunction calibrators etc.Troubleshoot equipment by utilizing the appropriate software to communicate with the plants PLC systems. Assist in establishing and maintaining the preventive maintenance programs for instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipment.Assist in establishing and maintaining spare parts inventory for instrumentation, electrical and mechanical equipment.Work with vendors to solve equipment problems.Troubleshoot instrumentation and process issues.May supervise any contract maintenance of electrical, instrumentation or mechanical equipment that is required.Housekeeping in maintenance shop and in areas where maintenance is performed.Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum 5 years electrical, mechanical, engineering, or industrial power construction project management work experience focusing on complex facility infrastructure construction, renovations, retrofits, upgrades, building controls and automation, and energy services.Journeyman’s Electricians License.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Additional specialized courses, certifications are a plus.Basic computer skills including e-mail and data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Word, & Excel.Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs.Ability to routinely climb ladders, walk up and down sloped ramps and work on elevated platforms.Ability to work on sloped roofs for extended periods of time.Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.Ability to pass government background check
