What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an Electric Machines Engineering Summer 2025 Intern to join our team in our Evansville, Indiana location!

The Electric Machines Engineering Intern will focus on supporting our Electric Machines Engineering Team by working on the design and documentation of legacy machines still in production.  Maintenance and development of design documentation is critical to improving the quality of the product and efficiency that it can be manufactured.  This role will be working in both office and manufacturing environments gathering feedback from Engineering and Manufacturing teams to establish accurate and up to date design information.

This role will give the person great experience working with common Engineering processes including document revision control and design changes/notifications.  Exposure to common Engineering tools will include Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault, structured Bills of Materials, 8D structured problem solving and Failure Mode Effects and Analysis.

Qualifications

Undergraduate student majoring in Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, concise manner. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks 1 year experience using Autodesk Inventor Experience using Microsoft Excel for calculation and filtering/sorting data

Responsibilities

Learn common Engineering processes including document revision control and design change/notifications Execute updates in design and documentation of K700B DC motor Begin to understand the role an Enterprise Resource Planning tool plays within a Manufacturing environment. Participate in diverse project responsibilities within the internship program Engage in networking opportunities with all levels of employees Contribute unique skills and experiences to the team Participation in comprehensive internship orientation and mentorship program with end of internship capstone presentation.
