**Job Title: Electric Pallet Jack Operator** **Job Description** Operate an electric pallet jack, load and unload trucks on the docks, and perform daily warehouse duties by hand including packaging, stacking, and palletizing. Use a RF scanner to scan product in and out of the warehouse, count and track inventory through invoicing, and fill out inspection sheets for trucks leaving the docks. Must be comfortable working in temperatures from 38 degrees or colder, lifting 60-70lbs, and assisting in various warehouse tasks. **Responsibilities** + Operate an electric pallet jack. + Load and unload trucks on the docks. + Perform daily warehouse duties including packaging, stacking, and palletizing. + Use a RF scanner to scan products in and out of the warehouse; everything is barcoded in the warehouse. + Count and track inventory through invoicing; ensure handwriting is legible and forms are filled out correctly. + Engage in detailed work, using scanners and paper invoices to fill out inbound and outbound products. + Fill out inspection sheets for trucks leaving the docks, ensuring correct amounts. + Lift 60-70lbs as needed; most labor-intensive work involves operating the forklift. + Assist in various warehouse tasks including stacking, packaging, scanning, and cleaning. + Work in a fast-paced environment with 80 trucks coming in and out daily. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift 70lbs. + Basic math skills (adding products and pallets) - 1+ years. + Electric pallet jack experience - 1+ years. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous cold storage experience preferred. + Experience with off-shift work preferred (e.g., 2nd shift). **Why Work Here?** Join a continuously growing storage facility in the Des Moines market with great promotional opportunities. The facility is new, clean, and adheres to food safety standards. Initial shifts are from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Starting March 7th, shifts will change to four 10-hour shifts (8am to 5:30pm), including weekends and one weekday off. Employees must be open to working weekends and Saturdays. Dress code includes providing your own cold weather gear initially and steel-toed boots; a freezer coat will be provided after one week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ALTOONA, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
