Navistar has an exciting new opportunity for an Electric Vehicle and Diesel Technician to join our team at our Field Test site in Commerce City, Colorado near Denver.


The EV and Diesel Technician will service and repair complex mechanical or electronical systems of vehicles and lend support with in-test inspections, diagnose, and perform standard mechanical and electrical vehicle repairs. The Technician will help support Navistar’s Research and Development group on 1st shift.

Responsibilities Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures and electrical troubleshooting using established proceduresPerforms maintenance, testing and calibration of repaired productsPrepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and service ability issuesMay communicate with field-based technicians for details helpful to failure diagnostics or repair, but generally without direct client contactRepair and/or replace all components of diesel engines, hydraulic, air conditioning, electrical, and suspension systems, drive trains, steering, braking, material handling, and operator comfort systemsRead, analyze, and interpret technical information from schematics, technical manuals, drawings and procedures, and governmental regulations Minimum Requirements Associate’s degreeAt least 3 years of experience supporting engineering activities and/or automotive or diesel mechanic experience

At least 5 years of experience supporting engineering activities and/or automotive or diesel mechanic experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
