Electrical and Electronic Hardware Design Supervisor

In this position... We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Hardware Supervisor to oversee a team of design engineers working on advanced electronic modules for next generation vehicles, to create innovative new electronics systems and products, and drive engineering excellence. This individual must have extensive experience in electronics control modules and systems design and development, and proven people leadership skills. This role requires a detailed, creative, and analytical thinker who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality solutions. What you'll do... + Lead a team of hardware design engineers to design, develop and verify electronic hardware products, including but not limited to body control modules, displays, clusters, lighting, sensors and auxiliary control modules. + Help to create advanced engineering development processes and methods to drive optimal design performance including cost optimization and quality. + Work with multiple stakeholders to understand requirements, viable technologies, and development activities for future vehicle programs. + Provide technical leadership on hardware design & development projects with high degrees of complexity. + Lead/manage product development (design, resources, risk) execution and achieve schedule timing. + Assume engineering responsibility for early product development phases, including kickoff, concept definition, product design, breadboards, prototypes and testing. + Review and evaluate test results; help identify root cause of problems and provide corrective actions recommendations. + Lead team design reviews and provide technical guidance and expertise to the engineers in the team. + Participate in multiple levels of meetings, including management meetings and technical reviews. + Provide innovative ideas for improving product quality, performance, manufacturability, and cost. + Work closely with core and commodity Technical Specialists. + Investigate and remain abreast of technological advancements and industry trends. You'll have... + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study. + 10+ years of experience in electrical and electronics control modules and systems development Even better, you may have... + Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study. + 5+ years in a management or leadership role + Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. + Experience in all aspects of Design & Development of Automotive Electronic Controllers + Experience in specialized complex hardware and embedded software systems. + Experience with automotive reliability requirements, and component selection for automotive electronics. + Working knowledge of circuit simulation, WCCA, DFMEA, design for reliability, and design for EMC. + Expert analytical ability and troubleshooting where problems are unusual and complex. + High level of oral and written communication skills + High level of interpersonal skills. + Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
