Job Description In this role, the technician will design, maintain, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm, security, and access control systems. The technician will work independently to ensure compliance with technical standards, provide advice on fire-related issues, and collaborate with the Campus Fire Marshall. Responsibilities include auditing fire systems, maintaining records, reviewing construction plans, and inspecting fire suppression systems. The technician will also coordinate with vendors and manage work tickets using TMA. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting fire alarm electrical systems. 2+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting security access control systems. Proficiency with a multimeter. Knowledge of various fire alarm manufacturers including Honeywell, FCI (Gamewell-FCI), and Notifier Ability to ensure compliance with technical standards and provide advice on fire-related issues. Work Management: Proficiency in managing work tickets using TMA or similar systems. Commercial or enterprise level experience.
