Worksite located near downtown San Diego, offering a good team environment. **Job Responsibilities:** Repair or replace valves, instrumentation systems, level switches, and electrical components. Troubleshoot and install various instrumentation, including switchbacks on air actuators. Use process meters, pressure calibrators, temperature calibrators, flow transmitters, and volt simulators. Troubleshoot valve signals and motion sensors. **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** Experience in the E&I department as an electrician and instrumentation technician. Proficiency with 40-20 milliamp signaling, HART signaling, and transmitters like Rosemount and Fisher control valves. Knowledge of discrete valve automation and relay control logic. Experience working with 125-pound steam, 40 psi steam, instrument air, and compressed processed air. Familiarity with Motor Control Centers (MCC), VFD installation, and motor failures. **Work Order Assignments:** Execute repairs and preventive maintenance (PMs) based on daily scope of work. **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and repair failed equipment, including VFDs, valve automation, instrumentation, pressure transmitters, and flow transmitters. **Controls System:** Work with boiler and motor controls. **Electrical Distribution:** Experience with 4160-volt systems, which supply power to large loads and transformers for the 480-volt system. **Heavy Single Line Experience:** Proficiency in handling heavy single line electrical systems. **Work Environment:** Shift: 5-8’s Monday – Friday for the first 6 months (training period). Post-training, shifts are based on seniority and may include swing shift (+$0.70 differential) or graveyard shift (+$0.90 differential). Potential for a 4x10 schedule, with overtime varying based on plant needs. **Industrial Environment:** Includes working in areas with a "funky" smell (e.g., fermentation area) and confined spaces. Outdoor work can be hot during summer months. **Education:** High School Diploma or equivalent required **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $89960.00 - $89960.00/yr.
