Our company is seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join our team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work. The candidate must possess the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with team members and management.
Responsibilities:
– Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems and equipment
– Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues as they arise
– Install and commission new equipment and systems
– Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
– Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and resolve technical problems
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
-Caterpillar , Hyundai and Hitachi machines
– Diploma or certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance
– Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili
– Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed
– Valid driver’s license
Preferred qualifications:
– Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings
– Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
– Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems
