Electrical Apprentice
Job Title: Electrical Apprentice Location: Berthoud, CO Reports To: Prefab Manager Wages: $19hr - $25hr DOE Position Overview: Loenbro, LLC is looking to hire an Electrical Apprentice for our Prefab Shop located in Berthoud, DO. The Electrical Apprentice will help support the building efforts of the shop to fabricate cable and electrical trays, panel & transformer stands/pedestals, pre-made pre-cut wire runs with multiple cables, transformer wiring and electrical cabinet builds including wiring/terminations. This is a preliminary breakdown of the work to be performed and will most certainly change over time as the need for this shop increases to support other projects from inside the company. Expected work schedule will be the standard 40-hour work week (Monday through Friday) with possible OT and weekend work as needed. A Journeyman Electrician \ Shop Manager will supervise this position to complete electrical work. Job Duties: + Under supervision of a journeyman electrician will assist with electrical related and other assigned tasks. + Follow all safety regulations and protocols. + Carry and deliver materials and always maintain a clean job site. + Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipment. + Use measuring equipment and hand tools to perform work. + Complete maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repair equipment and replacing defective parts. + Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems. + Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. + Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. + Must maintain student in good status for apprentice program. Loenbro offers a Unilateral Apprenticeship Training Program that satisfies state requirements for an accredited electrical apprenticeship program. Employees of Loenbro have the option to enroll in Loenbro’s training program or with permission, enroll in a different accredited apprenticeship training program. Regardless of the program chosen, all Apprentice Electricians are to remain in good standing with the program. + Other duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications: + Basic knowledge of electrical codes + Ability to understand schematics and technical manuals. + Must be dependable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. + Basic computer knowledge required. + Must be 18 years of age or older. + Understand the importance of quality. + Detail-oriented with strong communication skills. + Must be able to communicate with others to effectively promote efficiency. + Ability to work outside in extreme cold and hot temperatures. + Fit and move in confined spaces. + Training with and operating equipment needed to move equipment and material. + Be able to work from heights on ladders, equipment, and platforms. + Work with limited working surfaces. + Work in areas with limited visibility + Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
