Electrical Assembler
**Job Title: Switchgear Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking electrical assemblers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling tap off boxes, switchgear units, remote power panels, and mechanical power distribution units. The primary need is in the mechanical area, although there are also openings in the electrical area. Your tasks will include interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, using hand and power tools, and assembling small units with precision and efficiency. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. + Assemble data bar units using metal components by fastening, drilling, and attaching parts. + Perform control wiring throughout individual units if working in the electrical area. + Handle general labor duties as assigned, including stocking, inventory, and unwrapping raw materials. + Use hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks. + Read drawings to determine the parts needed for finished products. + Work at a production pace to meet daily unit completion goals. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency with hand and power tools. + Mechanical inclination and skills. + Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings. + 1-3 years of assembly or similar experience. + Experience with wiring (1 year, either as a hobby, in school, or professionally). + Ability to read a tape measure and, ideally, blueprints or schematics. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
