Electrical Assembly (1st Shift)
**Aerotek is hiring Electrical Assembly!** **Shift: 1st shift Monday - Friday 6:00am to 4:30pm must be open to work to 6:00pm and some Saturdays** **Pay: $30 must pass an assessment test** **Responsibilities** + Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, panel wiring, while adhering to safety, quality, and customer specifications. + Assemble finished units per customer specifications, including pulling wire, crimping wire, installing, and testing wiring and wiring harnesses using a voltmeter and ohmmeter. + Perform part replacement on tools as needed and according to schedule. + Resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels. + Work under direct, close supervision, with output monitored frequently. + Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and schematics. + Ensure that the assigned area is clean and organized per 5S standards. + Comply with and follow all procedures within the company security policy. + Coordinate with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members to accomplish. + Keep inventory personnel abreast of spare parts inventory and locations for ease of order fulfillments. + Perform real-time testing for point-to-point testing to ensure accurate wiring and no issues with the wires/housing. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience in electrical wiring and assembly. + Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and diagrams. + Experience with crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing electrical harnesses and sub-assemblies. + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. + Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows-based operating system and related software. + Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure). + Ability to interpret blueprints, graphs, schematics, and technical documents. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Schooling experience in lieu of hands-on experience (TCAT, Delta Tech, Moore Tech, Southwest). + Must take and pass an assessment. + Experience with hand and power tools. + Experience with electrical testing and electronic assembly. + Experience in control panel, soldering, panel wiring, and using a multimeter. **EVP:** Career growth opportunity - for example, the VP of Operations started as an SMT Operator and the CEO started as an entry-level Industrial Engineer. Electrical assembly area consists of 25 cell stations with large working areas. Teams will consist of 5-7 technicians per work cell. Tools and materials needed to complete the assembly are provided, no outside tools required.
