Electrical Controls Engineer

Responsibilities:

Installation, Wiring and Commissioning of control systems Exercise technical, mechanical and control system aptitude/skills in order to accurately identify root causes for machine failures or break downs and the repair accordingly Instrumentation and controls debugging and troubleshooting May represent Facility as Associate Project Manager on segments of Corporate Engineering projects as well as lead small in house plant projects Receives general supervision and exercises some discretion as to work details Ability to work all shifts dependent on the need to maintain production Responsible for completing projects tasks within time and budget constraints Work is reviewed for overall accuracy, completeness and soundness of technical judgment

Qualifications for controls technician

Possess the ability to read and understand controls prints Minimum of five years of experience in the maintenance of complex controls systems with multiple interactions is required Must have knowledge of how PLC, SCADA and/or other industrial control systems work to include some minor programming. Emphasis on Rockwell Automation RS Logix5000 and SLC500 platforms Three years' experience in the maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and process control equipment, in an industrial manufacturing setting including Food, Beverage, or other manufacturing industries. Technical training in electronics, instrumentation and process controls Work with Thermocouples, Transducers, PLC, Motors, VFD Drives Update and Maintain Plant library of all PLC, HMI, and VFD drive parameters on Corporate Drive.
