The Controls Engineer is responsible for collaborating with clients and the IFM-Kleinfelder Project Team to analyze process treatment requirements to design and implement the electrical, instrumentation, and controls aspect of industrial, commercial, and municipal water and wastewater systems.
Responsibilities include:
Develop pricing, proposals, and timelines for potential projectsDesign control systems that are compliant with applicable standards and client specificationsDevelop AutoCAD Electrical schematics, layouts, and bills of materialsSelect instrumentation for analysis and control of treatment systemsDevelop PLC logic and HMI and/or SCADA applications to control process treatmentProvide onsite commissioning support to fully test new systemsTroubleshoot electrical hardware, software, and process treatment issuesAssist with completion of operation and maintenance manualsProvide training to other IFM-Kleinfelder employees and clients on system operationMaintain IFM corporate asset electrical equipmentUnderstand Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experienceExperience with AutoCAD Electrical, Allen Bradley RSLogix5000/Studio5000, and Allen Bradley FactoryTalk View Studio strongly preferredAVEVA (Indusoft), Siemens, and Wonderware experience a plusExperience with AC variable frequency drivesProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong communication skills
