Electrical Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description

You will be responsible for controls engineering for grid connected inverters and utilizing different power converters (ACDC/DCDC). You will also be responsible for implementing control firmware using microprocessors/microcontrollers with embedded C programming. Testing power converters in a lab setting using oscilloscopes and other equipment is also required.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop controls engineering for grid-connected inverters.Utilize various power converters (ACDC/DCDC).Implement control firmware with microprocessors/microcontrollers using embedded C programming.Test power converters in a lab setting using oscilloscopes and other testing equipment.Understand and apply control schemes for switching power converters.Simulate power converters using MATLAB/Simulink.Ensure compliance with UL 1998 Certification.Develop and execute automated testing procedures.Essential Skills3+ years of controls engineering experience.Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink.Strong knowledge of power electronics.Experience with converters/inverters (ACDC/DCDC).Embedded C programming.Additional Skills & QualificationsUL 1998 Certification.Experience with automated testing procedures.Work Environment

You will be working out of the Boulder office, which is part of a larger organization headquartered in Littleton. The role involves a combination of engineering, design, and some testing in a lab setting. The company is committed to making home energy more efficient, affordable, and accessible by revolutionizing home energy management. Technologies and equipment used include oscilloscopes and other standard lab testing tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr.
