Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to develop new products by interpreting customer needs to establish electrical product specifications. The role involves designing electrical systems, writing PLC logic, and completing electrical documentation to ensure new products meet functional and non-functional specifications, including safety, performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability. The engineer will devise and conduct validation tests, solve operational issues, and apply engineering theory to address complex problems. The role also includes identifying and acting on opportunities for continuous improvement, with approximately 70% of the time spent on programming and 30% on hardware.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop new products by interpreting customer needs to establish electrical product specifications.Design electrical systems and write PLC logic.Complete electrical documentation.Ensure new products meet functional and non-functional specifications, including safety, performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.Devise and conduct validation tests to ensure product quality.Solve operational issues and devise short and long-term remedies.Apply engineering theory to solve complex problems.Identify and act on opportunities for continuous improvement.Essential SkillsPLC programming (3-5 years of experience).Controls engineering.Experience with AutoCAD.Experience with Studio5000.Experience with VFD.PLC programming using Allen Bradley or Siemens.Experience with TIA Portal.Control panel design.Experience with network communications between PLCs and VFDs.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience in lieu of degree.Experience actively designing control panels and writing programs for them.Work Environment

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
