Job Title: Electrical Controls Technician

Job Description

As an Electrical Controls Technician, you will develop and maintain knowledge of the wastewater treatment industry and become familiar with electrical control manufacturers' products. You will utilize electrical software including RSLogix 5000, Modicon, and other PLC, HMI, and VFD configuration software. This role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently and possesses strong technical writing and verbal skills.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain knowledge of the wastewater treatment industry and electrical control manufacturers' products.Utilize electrical software including RSLogix 5000, Modicon, and other PLC, HMI, and VFD configuration software.Work independently and be self-motivated.Use Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Perform hands-on work with heavy industrial equipment.Diagnose, repair, and work with electro-mechanical ancillary equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, actuators, flowmeters, and VFDs.Use diagnostic equipment like vibration analyzers, DMMs, and other measuring equipment to log performance data and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation.Possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain an insurable driving record.Undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.Essential SkillsPLC troubleshootingElectrical schematicsAutomationProgrammingControls engineeringCommissioningTroubleshootingAllen-BradleySiemens PLCLadder logicElectricalVFDs1+ years of PLC troubleshooting experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of the wastewater treatment process and technologiesBasic understanding of electrical terminologyHigh mechanical aptitudeUnderstanding of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic engineering systemsExperience reading specifications for municipal (government) and industrial projectsWork Environment

The Electrical Controls Technician will work directly with the Electrical Engineering team. The culture is supportive and training-oriented, aimed at fostering long-term careers. This position involves hands-on work with industrial equipment and diagnostic tools.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00
