As an Electrical Engineer you will:

\r\n\r\n

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design of low and medium voltage power systems and acts as the primary technical interface for the equipment they are assigned.
\r\n
\r\n
\r\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerform design, programming, troubleshooting and commissioning job functions as needed to support IEM’s products and to achieve customer goals\r\n\tCreate drawing packages for the manufacturing of custom switchgear and switchboards to applicable industry standards\r\n\tSupport production during the product construction and testing by answering any technical inquiries.\r\n\tWork with mechanical designers to layout out and create rough front views/plan views of switchgear and switchboards.\r\n\tSelect components and create detailed bills of materials for our products\r\n\tWrite sequence of operation documents to define automatic system functionality\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\tEngineers are expected to take a project from the design conception stage through the manufacturing process and further to project completion\r\n\tPerform design job functions as needed to support IEM’s products and to achieve customer goals\r\n\tSupport sales and the project management team in answering customer questions as it relates to the design.\r\n\tOften works on larger projects that range from ($300k to $40 million)\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\tComplete short field assignments where design consultation is required (generally less than 3 days at a time and not to exceed 10% of total time)\r\n\r\n\r\n

COMPETENCIES:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAdvanced understanding of electrical engineering principles and theories as they apply to power industry and switchgear.\r\n\tExperienced in utilizing AutoCAD for electrical design.\r\n\tAdvanced understanding of mechanical layout and considerations.\r\n\tProject/Task management and the ability to carry out a plan that moves a task to completion.\r\n\tExcellent written and oral communication skills\r\n\tAbility to interact directly with customers, sales, other technical resources and management.\r\n\tAbility to handle multiple concurrent tasks.\r\n\tAbility to lead small teams of people to achieve a larger task.\r\n\tWilling to work with less experienced engineers for mentoring and training\r\n\tAbility to interact directly with customers, sales, other technical resources and management.\r\n\tTechnical writing skills.\r\n\tOrganization skills.\r\n\tPride in Workmanship.\r\n\tTime management.\r\n\tAttention to detail and thoroughness.\r\n\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tFour year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience preferred.\r\n\tMinimum of 3 years of experience working in a related field .\r\n\tPrevious field service experience, knowledge and understanding is a big plus.\r\n\tExcellent working knowledge of MS Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)\r\n\tSignificant experience with AutoCAD drafting software.\r\n\tIndustrial automation experience is a big plus.\r\n\r\n\r\n

Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 year

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
