Electrical Design Engineer Job Description The Controls Design Engineer II provides the electrical/controls design on product improvements for electrical/controls infrastructure of our manufactured product lines as well as coordinate site wide drawings as applicable per site/project. These design activities are to provide assurance that our equipment/sites/projects are being built and/or applied per engineering documents, manufacturing and other required standards, such as UL and NEC. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Engineering Degree required. + Minimum 2 years of related experience required. + Ability to read and interpret documents such as: construction drawings, single lines, product manuals, control drawings, work instructions, written directions, and markups to electrical/control drawings. + Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills with a desire for continuous improvement. + Detail-oriented and accurate and a positive can-do attitude. + Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including collaborating with other teams. + Occasionally required to inspect products in-progress in manufacturing. + Proficient with 2-D (AutoCAD) AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software. + Knowledgeable of UL, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards. Work Environment + Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 from home). + This role requires interface with production as builds are in progress to ensure projects are on time and with quality. + The rest of the time will be spent in an office setting / behind a CAD screen.
