Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Electrical Designer with advanced expertise in AutoCAD, wiring design, and physical layout for industrial and utility applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing panels, substation systems, and power generation facilities. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality electrical designs that meet industry standards and project requirements. Responsibilities + Design electrical systems for industrial facilities, substations, and power generation stations. + Create wiring schematics and physical layouts for high-voltage and low-voltage systems. + Develop control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), and switchgear designs. + Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet industry standards. + Utilize AutoCAD Electrical for detailed electrical design work. + Ensure designs comply with electrical standards and codes, including NEC, IEEE, and utility-specific guidelines. + Integrate relay and protection systems, SCADA, and PLC wiring into designs. + Provide technical support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle. Essential Skills + Minimum Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. + 8-10 years of experience in electrical design for industrial facilities, substations, or power generation stations. + Proven expertise in designing control panels, MCCs, and switchgear. + Advanced skills in AutoCAD Electrical. + Strong understanding of industrial power systems, including grounding, conduit routing, and cable tray design. + Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. + Strong communication and teamwork skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is a plus. + Experience with additional CAD tools like Revit or SolidWorks. + Familiarity with relay and protection systems, SCADA integration, and PLC wiring. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
