Your role and responsibilities

In this role, as an Electrical Design Engineer, your main tasks will be electrical design of Medium Voltage Switchgears as single line diagrams, full diagrams, and material list with electrical equipment.You will work as an extended operation of ABB Norway MV Project Electrical Designers, while maintaining close cooperation with BGABB LVC Production line. Initial training will be provided by ABB-Norway engineers both on the MV-switchgear product line and on the design software (EPLAN).The work model for the role is onsite.You will be mainly accountable for:•Design and Development: Generating with EPLAN single line diagrams and full line diagrams based on input provided by customer through sales engineers/project managers. Working in a combination of design-to-order and development of standard switchgears. Front/side views of the MV-switchgear should be generated, аlso draft internal views of main terminal blocks.•Quantification and Compliance: Material list of electrical equipment should be generated for each schematic. For design-to-order projects, specific electrical equipment can be selected from catalogues, meeting all applicable electrotechnical standards.•Consulting and Problem-Solving: Working with cross-functional teams such as mechanical engineers, supply chain, project managers/ engineers, manufacturing teams to deliver optimized design, assembly and cost effectiveness of switchgear.•Data Management and Coordination: Maintaining all master data of drawings and revisions, ensuring that projects are aligned with targets. Coordinating activities while maintaining a good knowledge of and applying R&D processes and design tools.You will join dynamic, talented, high performing team, where you will be able to thrive

Qualifications for the role

Graduated degree of Electrotechnics or Electric power engineering is a must2-3 years of experience in electrical engineering is preferredCompetence with electrical CAD software such as EPLAN will be an advantageWritten and spoken English is a mustReadiness for travelling to ABB Norway (for a periods of 1-2 months) during the initial 6 months of training
