Electrical Design Engineer
Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerJob Description The Controls Design Engineer II provides the electrical/controls design on product improvements for electrical/controls infrastructure of our manufactured product lines. This role coordinates site-wide drawings as applicable per site/project. These design activities ensure that our equipment/sites/projects are built and applied per engineering documents, manufacturing, and other required standards, such as UL and NEC. The main goals are the safety, quality, functionality, and conformity of our products. This position's work is generally independent and collaborative in nature, contributing to moderately complex aspects of a project. Responsibilities + Provide electrical/controls design for product improvements. + Coordinate site-wide drawings per site/project. + Ensure equipment/sites/projects adhere to engineering documents, manufacturing, and required standards. + Maintain safety, quality, functionality, and conformity of products. + Collaborate independently and with teams on various projects. Essential Skills + Electrical engineering degree required. + Minimum of 8 years of related experience. + Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, single lines, product manuals, control drawings, work instructions, written directions, and markups to electrical/control drawings. + Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with a desire for continuous improvement. + Detail-oriented and accurate with a positive can-do attitude. + Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration with other teams. + Proficient with 2-D AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent software. + Knowledgeable of UL, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to inspect products in-progress in manufacturing. Work Environment This role offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days onsite and 2 days from home. The position requires interface with production as builds progress to ensure projects are completed on time and with quality. The remaining time will be spent in an office setting, working behind a CAD screen. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
